I specially arranged the floor pattern below to be "the sky is round and the earth is square". The ancients believed that the sky is like a canopy, round in shape; the earth is like a chessboard, square in shape; the combination of the two symbolizes the balance of yin and yang and the complementarity of movement and stillness. The small chestnut symbolizes "movement" and the chair represents "stillness". The circle symbolizes "the sky is round" and the square symbolizes "the earth is square". Many cultural relics also contain the totems of heaven and earth, which symbolize the harmony of yin and yang and a hundred blessings and auspiciousness.
